Forum: GratefulDead Subject: Tahoe: GD, Janis & Chuck Berry

I was checking out the music scene in Tahoe for an upcoming vacation and came across this article about a local concert promoter, Jim Burgett:

"Burgett had had enough. If the speaker was good enough for Jerry Garcia, he thought, it was good enough for (Chuck) Berry."

Ha! Classic Chuck Berry behavior.

I saw Santana, Johny Winters, Los Lobos and others at Harrah's South Shore in the mid-late '80s. 2 drink minimum.
I guess I know who I owe thanks to now.
